I have a few issues.

I have my index.php file in the root and my forums in the /forums/ folder and because of that, a few of my links (hacks etc...) in the nav bar dont work as they are just pointing to misc.php? instead of /forums/misc.php?

And one of the images

As you can see here - http://www.eteknix.com/ Check out forum rules at the top.

Is it best to put the index.php file into the forum directory even though my forum link is http://forums.eteknix.com

----------------------------------------

When i post a thread with a picture in, and my max caracter limit is say 2000, it uses the picture as most of the characters so i have to keep upping the limit but the other files come across wierd because it says the whole post.

----------------------------------------

I set my links to http://www.blah.com" _blank" or whatever it is and it worked to open the links in seperate windows, but after a while stopped working.

Can anyone help with these issues.

Thanks,

Andy

I have my forums all setup with the forums in /forum/ and the cmps_index file in the root. never had an issue.

It has been so long since I installed CMPS that I am not sure if I had to edit something. I believe it is under admincp/ options / navbar replacements.

make sure all of these are listed:
memberlist.php
usercp.php
register.php
faq.php
calendar.php
search.php
login.php
forumdisplay.php
profile.php
private.php
subscription.php
member.php
online.php
toplist.php
online.php
index.php

It seems that the only image not working is -

http://www.eteknix.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

Which should be -

http://forums.eteknix.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

The rest work fine.

Also, if i log out of my forums, it doesn't log me out of /root/index.php which is the vbacmps file so im still logged in on the cms but not the forums.

That can also be solved by following the instructions in our FAQ.
http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vba_trouble#faq_vba_trouble_cookie

Ok, i put the nav bars -

memberlist.php
usercp.php
register.php
faq.php
calendar.php
search.php
login.php
forumdisplay.php
profile.php
private.php
subscription.php
member.php
online.php

into the header bit and they work, now for the rest of the stuff :)

Anyone?

I was told to make a thread here with my problems and issues but never really get much of a response.

I've replied to every issue you've posted in this thread, and each one is covered in our FAQ.

And i done all of the things in the FAQ to fix the cookie problem, but it's still the same.

So that was 3 problems which havent been answered and the cookie problem still.

Sorry, but there is not an easy way to prevent images and other HTML tags from being counted in the limit.

I set my links to http://www.blah.com" _blank" or whatever it is and it worked to open the links in seperate windows, but after a while stopped working.
What links exactly are you referring to?

The cmps_index.php file can be run from anywhere on your server that you would like.

And i done all of the things in the FAQ to fix the cookie problem, but it's still the same.
The only thing I can suggest is to try again. As long as you follow those steps exactly and clear your cookies after each change, one of the combinations there will work.

Changed to a different CMS in the end so i could tinker the style.

Good product, keep up the good work, but it's not quite for me :)
