middle of homepage — what to do?

Right now I have recent posts in the middle section of my homepage.

I would like to replace these with an HTML page that I would create.

I am total newbie. I have had my site for a couple of months, got SevenSkins, but still have no idea how to do what I want to do. I keep reading and get nowhere. I need a step-by-step guide to replace what is in the middle of my homepage only.

I got an HTML page up—text only. I called the page trial and had two lines of text.

There is a graphic on the page but it did not show up—How do I get the graphic up with the text?

Also, how do I get the other stuff, recent posts etc., to not be there?—in the middle—the stuff would be OK on the left or the right.

You should be able to click Edit Pages in the vBa CMPS, Click on the page you want to edit, my homepage is called Homepage. From there you can add and remove modules, move them from side to side, on a per page basis.

I have the best luck creating a BB code module for simple html code, text and grafix.

I used your info.

Now, how I get a graphic onto the module/page. Where do I put the graphics, so they will show up, that I have created on my computer and placed in the html page?

creating a module is almost just like creating a forums post, to insert an image into the module/post you click on the icon that looks like a postcard or mountain with a stamp on it. when you mouse over it, the pop up says insert image.

I am not allowed to insert an image from my desk top. Where do I put the image so I can get to it. When I click on the icon, I am required to "Please enter the URL of your image:" — Where do I put the image to get at it?

Upload it anywhere to your webserver. And then link to it.

You could put the image anywhere on your server, this is true but..

your header image is located at

christsweb.net/community/styles/redcoal/misc/hdr_logo.gif

http://www.christsweb.net/community/styles/redcoal/misc/hdr_logo.gif

If you choose that directory , then at least all of your images would be in the same place.

Or some place like this would be good also
