Hi,
Using the search module on my site, the search was for the customfield "PWP". I checked it and pressed search. It returns 19 results (missing a few). I use the advanced search (search.php), clicked on PWP and it returned 47 results. There seem to be an error somewhere. Thanks!

I did a quick search and noticed one difference is that the "Author's Note" custom field you've added is not selected to be shown in the search module, so that field is not being searched. If you edit the settings for that module and include that field (and possibly any other missing ones) then that should make the searches consistent.

Yeah. I tried that, actually I turned all of it on but it still return me 19 results.

Maybe double check some of your other custom fields and make sure they're enabled? As long as the fields it's searching is consistent then you *should* see the same results.

OK I figured out the problem. I had to uncheck "Posts" field (leaving it checked by default will not pull all results for some reason) in the search module since it was not checked by default on advanced search. Doing this would yield the same number of search results; however, if I disable that field in the search module, the search results in the same number as if having that option on and checked.
Here's what I did.
Search module with "posts" field check by default and "Action genre" checked.
Yields 11 Results (Incorrect)
Advanced Search with "posts" field unchecked by default and "Action genre" checked.
Yields 67 Results (correct)
Search module with "posts" field unchecked and "Action genre" checked.
Yields 67 Results (correct)
Search module with "posts" field DISABLED and "Action genre" checked.
Yields 11 Results (Incorrect)
Same as #1 above!
So basically for me, I cannot get the correct search using the module unless I have the POSTS field SHOWING on search module and UNCHECKED. If POST field is DISABLED, it would return false (lower) results.
What's the difference between "messages" and "posts" btw?
Does message mean the message of the entries and posts are replies?
As a temporary fix for me, I have to disable the "posts" field from being checked by default to get correct search results, since disabling that in edit module doesn't help. How would I do that?
