Many of my users have been getting the following:

vBulletin Message
YYXXXX, you do not have permission to access this page. This could
be due to one of several reasons:

1.. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access
this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative
features or some other privileged system?
2.. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled
your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

They always get redirected to the login screen. This problem seemed to start happening after I installed both VBA 3.1.0 and vb 3.8.1

I have tried all the suggestions here:
http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vba_trouble#faq_vba_trouble_cookie

I have done all steps contained within including step #3 where it talks about changing to .yoursite.com. I had to back this one out since it caused me to not be able to login to the admin section of the site at times!

Please if anyone can help me on this one, I'm at the end of my rope. I tried disabling all plugins while I had a user who is experiencing this problem on the phone to no avail.

Will pay a Paypal fee if someone can help me fix this one!

It would help if you posted a url as well.

BTW - you may already know this so please forgive me if it's obvious. The 'yoursite.com' isn't to be taken literally, it refers to the actual url of your site.

When you upgraded did you also update the config.php file? If so, did you set the cookie prefix to what was already in use?

That message wouldn't have anything to do with a cookie issue. It's showing their username, so it seems them as logged in. If you're receiving that message then it means you have your forum or CMPS permissions set to block access to that page.
