Hi there, im building a Puerto Rico Web Directory (http://www.boricuawebs.com) using vbulletin because of the tag feature and the vbseo that is wonderfull, I just saw this Link Directory of yours and didnt know it existed!! I think it will work perfect for what I am doing but I just need som expertize advise before I purchase it.

On my homepage is a tag search, simulating like a Google thing so users can search by tags and find websites in my page, If you click on top where it says Directorio Web (http://www.boricuawebs.com/forum.php)is basically the forum home so you can see the few already published, but Im not all into the posting thing so Thats why I guess your product is for me!!

Please let me know so I can decide!

Manny

Hi Manny,

I used to manually create a "directory" of goods and services relating to special needs education etc. on my forum.

The vBA Links directory is a MUCH better solution for me as it has so many more features. Look at the thumbnail display!.

There is also a "Latest links module" available to display content onto the vBA CMPS portal and/or integrated pages on the forum.

Have a look at the set up on my forum if you like : www.aspergers-uk.org

Thanks for sharing that, i wanted to see some other live demos, GREAT!
Still got a few questions, my site is basically new and I only have like 150 threads/websites in my directory/forums; what will happen to them? I loose them, delete them? will I also loose the 750 links in google that go directly to my forums? Will VBSEO still optimize properly? I will like to have someone check my site and tell me if it is worth the effort to change everything from forums to Link Directory.
Thanks

Hi Manny,

here is another site you should look at : http://www.talkvirginia.net/

their links section is called "WebDirectory".

The process of adding your links is manual, so what I did was take time to build the links directory with the categories and content I wanted. I left my old directory section running on the forum for a few months then removed it once the vBA Links was properly set up.

SEO friendly URL's etc. make sure that the spiders index all your links,vbSEO is no problem and using vBA CMPS with page integration I could have new/random links alongside the forum pages too.

Cool, i still like yours better,
Iwill love to see some more sites using this software so i can get ideas.

Question....in control panel is there an option to eliminate where it says "Last Post" and "Replies"?
However I will like to keep the amount of "views"

Im really diggin this thing!

Here you go Manny,

Take a look here : http://www.vbadvanced.com/products.php?do=productinfo&productid=2

this section gives you a demo of the features and the admin controls.

Then if you look to the right of the page there is a display of featured sites running vBA Links etc.:)

You should look into the CMPS too, it can add so much to your site and the links can be shown in modules on CMPS (even with thumbnails).

Damn, so many features and options to edit, im in love already!
If I only knew this before i satred, now i got a lot of work ahead, lol
Ill purchase this upcoming week, I guess I will use CMPS as homepage then a link on top as Web Directory (Directorio Web) and not use the forums what so ever.
This is basically all I need, Can I still put banners in the link categories as here? (http://www.boricuawebs.com/forum.php)
I sell banner spaces and if i can still do this ill be a very happy camper!

You can upload category icons. The images won't be placed in the same spot as the site you linked to, but they could easily be moved by editing the templates.

ok, thats fine i got decent html knowledge so the only issue will be finding the exact area to edit tu include that banner html code?
I will do that if so, and post here where its located so others can do the same if interested
If there is some site already doing this please share a link!
Thanks!
