View Full Version : DB Error 1146
Hello,
Just installed Vbulletin and attempting to install cmps...however during the initial installation I get this db error:
Database error in vBulletin 3.0.3:
Invalid SQL: SELECT * FROM adv_pages WHERE name = 'home'
mysql error: Table 'vbul.adv_pages' doesn't exist
Not sure how to proceed. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is that the whole error message?
"There seems to have been a slight problem with the Xpressions database.

That's what I get on the first step...
does your database has a prefix?
No prefix...db name is vbul, not sure why it's adding the "."
mmm.... maybe Brian can help you.

Did you run the install file? Either way, your best bet would probably be to try un-installing and then re-installing.
Well, I haven't been able to figure it out, so I decided to pay the experts to do a cmps install for me! :0
Thanks to all who responded.
Finally I was able to get the portal installed...I have left and right blocks, but no center block. Is there something else I need to do? The center block is checked btw.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to set your 'News Forum ID' (or move some other modules to the center) before anything will appear there.
Thanks Brian! Works perfectly now!!!
I had previously requested a paid install...which many thanks to everyone's help here, I no longer need. Who do I contact to cancel this request?
Thanks again!

I just upgraded from the old v1 vBa Homepage and I uninstalled it, and installed CMPS and it gives me the same error message.

Spitfire, are you getting that message during the installation or when attempting to view cmps_index.php?

When i'm not logged on, I get this in the admin cp when I clik on vBa options & when I got to my root page: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /includes/sessions.php on line 271
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

Spitfire, are you getting that message during the installation or when attempting to view cmps_index.php?
I'm getting the message when I attempt to view the index. I tried to install it for the first time in my life, then it oddly said it was already installed. When I try to uninstall it, it says it uninsalled successfully, but when I try to install again, it still says that it's already installed. So I dunno what to do.

Download the package from here again to make sure you have the most recent files. Then upload them to your server and try uninstalling and reinstalling again.
