I have not upgraded, but Brian says in the announcement forum that the setting has to be enabled.
'Allow Page Customization' under the 'Main Options' section

To see it work here, look at the top to the right at www.vbadvanced.com (customize this page)

well that was kind of a waist of a update since now i need to buy vBadvanced Dynamics v1.2.0 just to get the drag and drop feature..So this really
is not a update for vBadvanced CMPS

Are you sure you do not have the setting 'Allow Page Customization' under the 'Main Options' section in you CMPS admincp menu, even though you do not have Dynamics 1.2.0?

The only way for me to get that option that you are speaking about is for me to BUY dynamics. To answer your question i do not have that function to enable it since i do not have dynamics

I do not have Dynamics but due see "allow page customization" in the page settings in CMPS.

When I turn it on I can click on Customize This Page, which then puts the page in edit mode, however I can not drop and drag the boxes, when I try the boxes just highlight.

When I try it here on vbadvanced.com the drag and drop features work great.

I turned off the "allow page customization" feature for now.

Nowhere does it say that you need vBa Dynamics to take advantage of the new drag & drop features in the CMPS. Drag & drop features have been added to both products. All you need to activate it on the CMPS is to upgrade and then edit any CMPS pages through the Admin CP to enable the new 'Allow Page Customization' setting.

I just installed, and as Brian states, I don't have vBa Dynamics and the drag and drop feature is working perfectly. Love it :)

Not sure if I have the save problem as brathamike but after upgrading I don't have the option "Allow Page Customization" on any of my settings pages for vBadvance CMPS. Everything else seems fine and the upgrade seemed to go with no problems reported.

Nevermind found the problem was in the instructions saying to go to Main Options when it is: admincp--> edit pages---> go homepage --> Allow Page Customization you must choose ( yes )

Not sure what instructions you're reading, but it does say you have to edit the CMPS page in the Announcement.

When adding or editing a CMPS page, you will now see a new option called 'Allow Page Customization' under the 'Main Options' section.

I did that.

Then when I click on the Customize This Page on my site all the boxes have the ----'s going around it, but when I click on a box to drag and drop it just highlights the text on the screen and does not move the boxes.

Here (on your site) I am able to drag the boxes with no problem.

Are you receiving any javascript errors on the page?

I have a similar problem to the Dragging Modules in the adminCP. The wierd thing is that when I first installed it allowed me to remove a module (drag it to the inactive Modules) from my Home page. Now I do have the "Customize this Page" link on my home page and it works fine for users to modify the Home Page display, BUT I cant add or remove any modules in the admincp, it just highlights them now when I click on them... This is not good and Now I have no idea on how to add back my modules to my home page, I removed in testing the Upgrade.

I'm using IE8, vb3.8.2 and cmps 3.2

Thank you,

Hmmmmmmmm wierd thing, when I went back in the adminCP and hit the "SAVE" button in the inactive modules area it began to work again...I would have thought that when you click the Save on the bottom of the page after making changes it would Save everything, Ya shouldn't have to click Save twice in 2 different spots...

Are you receiving any javascript errors on the page? None.

Scott - I'm not sure what else the issue might be, but if you would like to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here I'll be glad to take a look at things.

xTerMn8R - There's no difference in any of the save buttons on that page, so which button you hit would not have made a difference. The only thing I can guess is that perhaps you were clicking on empty space next to the module title instead of the title when you were trying to move them.

I just installed CMPS and Dynamic and I am having the same problem. I set the options to allow customization, cleared my cache, tried on FF and IE, tried on an admin account, mod account and registered guest, but no drag and drop on the homepage or the admin cp.

I just noticed the following under diagnostics. I did remove the install, but the vba_cmps_admin.js does appear in my files.

admincp/vbacmps_install.php File not found
clientscript/vba_cmps_admin.js File not found

Should I try installing the files again?

For the "[Customize This Page]" Option to Appear You Need to Revert the Template "adv_portal". ;)

My Best Regards.
