was about to install cmps and reading the file looks like i will replace index.php of my forum, does this mean that my home page will be the cmps one as soon as i install or is it possible to install and set up as i wish then change my home page.
really new to this and don't want to mess things up

guessing that i can install cmps in another folder but need to put my forum path in cmps_index.php, does this sound right, i'd really like to get the cmps bit up and running before i change this to the home page.

You would be better installing to the same folder as your forum really, the cmps page can be left inactive while you configure it.

sorted it, cheers
so as soon as i get the cmps running as i want i can just change cmps_index.php to index.php and that should be it?
also i need to delete install.php file?

Yes, you should delete the admincp/vbacmps_install.php file once it has been run.
