View Full Version : Is there any way to parse multiple calendars?
Is there any way to parse multiple calendars? I mean, I have several calendars and would be great if the minicalendar module could parse them all instead of only just one.
Thanks! =)

You mean show several different calendars, or just show the events from all of your calendars on one?

Personally, I'd kinda like to know how to do both. :)
Brian, just show the events from all calendars on one.
Torqued: show different calendars shouldn't be difficult... duplicate minicalendar.php, change name to minicalendar2.php, name module identifier, hard-code calendar ID, try again till it works =)

specifying more than one calendar in vbadvanced options would be great!
can you enhance minicalendar to show events from more than one calendar ?
:)

I don't think it would be very easy to show events from more than one calendar. I'll look into it when I have some more time though.

I could have sworn mine was showing all non-private events on three different calendars. Can't check now because I'm running a backup, but I'd bet on it.

by using the upcoming events hack, events from all calendars are shown.
thats ok. maybe your are using this on your site, too.
the missing feature is have the minicalendar linking to the events of more than one calendar ...
... but where to link when there are two events from two different calendars ???
Yes, you are right. I didn't thought of it!
It would only be possible to do it if the vB calendar could be hacked so that events from all calendars would be displayed in the default calendar for example. Then the minicalendar events could link to that calendar.

That's exactly what's needed. Some high end web calendars have overlays that let you overlay one or more calendars and show events from both. For example you could have different group calendars and have users subscribe to one or more and get a composite calendar that represents an overlay of their selections.
for example their two favorite football and basketball teams overlaid with personal calendar.
Stuff like that.

I'm using the Upcoming Events hack with the mini calendar and I'm not getting any events listed.
I'm using vB 3.0.3 and CMPS v1.0.0
Any ideas why I'm not getting any events listed? I have it set to look for 20 days out and I'm only using 1 calendar
