Error with module upload

I'm trying to fix a problem on a friend's site, where he had a problem with the poll module not displaying in any way, and after me trying everything I could imagine.

So as a last resort, I deleted the module and tried to re-upload it, but now vb returns this error:

Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in xxxxxxxxxx\admincp\vba_cmps_admin.php on line 3958

Any ideas? I've chmod-ed the modules folder to 77 but still same error comes up.

Which version of the CMPS is your friend running? And just to make sure, are you uploading the currentpoll.module file from the 'Extras (do not upload)/modules' folder in the CMPS package?

Yes I uploaded the module from that folder.

Try uploading the attached XML file instead and see if you have the same problem.

Yup, same error message comes up. But now that I notice on the ftp, I see "0000" as properties of the modules folder, but I still get a "action performed successfully" when I chmod it to 777.

Can you see a file called currentpoll.xml or currentpoll.module (NOT currentpoll.php) in the modules folder? If not, then it sounds like the file is never making it to the folder (perhaps because of the permissions) and that's something you would need to contact your host about.

Nope. So something having to do with his permissions. I'll tell him to contact the host about that.

Just wanted to share that problem has been resolved, after the host changed folder permissions to 777. Apparently, the ftp account they've given me did'nt have permissions to chmod the folder, but i wasn't getting a negative server response either.
