I have forum installed in forum folder and I wnat to install vbadvanced in root directory my path to forum is /home/swami/public_html/forum/
my global.php file is in /home/swami/public_html/forum/upload/
I have installed all vbadvanced files in respective folder.
Changed the path in cmps_index.php(whihc is in root) to /home/narisak1/public_html/forum/
I want to install vbadvanced in root of the site.
Uploaded cmps_index.php in root.
I am getting error
require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './home/swami/public_html/forum/upload/global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/swami/public_html/forum/upload/admincp/vbacmps_install.php on line 13
Please help. This is fresh insatll vb advance 3.0 on vb 3.8

The paths you have configured are clearly incorrect.

The instructions for installing cmps in a different folder to your forum are clear in the .readme file and you will find a tool for obtaining the correct forum path in the "Do not upload" folder.

Wow, thats SO strange I JUST fixed this error.

I don't know if this happened to you but my entire include folder was missing, make sure to check for that and also checkto make sure the init.php file is in there

Thanks for the response. I defined path as
/home/swami/public_html/forum/upload/
adn also as
/home/swami/public_html/forum
It does not work.Please help
