I have two problems with VBA CMPS that might be linked. I am a novice with this so please bear with me!
The first problem (which isnt a big one) is this. I have set up my news forum so that only I and two others (neither are mods or admins but I added a seperate usergroup for them). They can post news, view the front page etc but it displays in a different format for them. I (and as far as I know everyone else) sees the front page news as you would see posts on VB forums. The two though only see it as a list of threads (which they can click to see the posts). I have looked through the control panel and can see no way to turn their view of the front page to actually seeing the posts. Whats wrong here?
My second and more serious problem again involves the two other news posters. The total news stories now add up to 15 and neither of them can now add new ones. They have tried and the forum says it posts their stories but the news doesnt show up either on the front page or in the forum itself. I tested to see if I could post news and it all displayed fine. They have both posted news before and its only recently that this has happened (and I havent changed anything except giving them access to view the front page which I forgot about before :D )
I was thinking that it might be because the portal was set to only display 15 news items but its set to 30. I played with this and put 0 in (which is supposed to mean there is no limit) and the front page was then displaying the threads only view I mentioned above (which is why I was wondering if both problems were linked). I changed the limit back to 30 and my view went back to normal. :confused:
Hopefully there is a really simple answer to both of these!
