i want where it says "http://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2/images/misc/navbits_start.gif Ranger-Forums" to be a link to http://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2/index.php

where can i do this? i think i can figure out how if i just knew where to go...

This is part of the main vB navbar template and you'd probably be better off asking for help over at vbulletin.com.

Hope you don't mind this alternative suggestion but have you thought of including a new entry in your menu that shows 'Forums' when you are on the portal page and shows 'Home' when you are on the forums...?

It's the same as Brians vBa menu here on this site... that would help...!!

i fixed the css file to make the top left-hand banner.gif a link to my "Home", and basically just wanna have that little "Ranger-Forums" link back to the Forum index...

i am gonna post this on the vb site, i just figured, though, that since it was on my cmps homepage, that i should post it here...
