the you upload whatever files go in admincp to whatever you renamed admincp to.
I have renamed my admincp folder and installed without any problems.

oh great now i'm f*****g lost !
if my forum is in the root directory do i leave it in the root directory or create a dir called "forum" and transfer all my forum files in there...because this is what i did and now all my pages are showing up blank.
no where within the read me file did it ever say to transfer all of my forum files to a directory called "forum" other than the ones i modified and the ones that were provided in the cmps package.
so i believe i was to do the same with my forum files.
please help
thanks in advance.

to make it clear.
where it tells me to do this:
http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php.
it comes up as a blank page.
i've followed everything to the T in the read me file.
possible blonde moment perhaps?
i'm testing this locally on my home server before actually making modifications to my live forum just to be on the safe side.

If you have your files in the root directory then you just upload all of the /forum/ files into your root directory.
Are all of your forum pages blank, or just the install file?

i cannot even see my forum
when i try to do the install.php:
http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php.
that page comes up blank
if i were to rename my cmps_index.php to index.php that dir comes up blank as well when trying to access it.
i'm using both ie and firefix 1.0.
i have vb 3.0.3
if me forum files are all in the dir called "forum"
would this be correct?
chdir('./forum');

If all of your forum files are coming up blank as well then you've done something incorrectly while you were modifying your files. Get a fresh, un-hacked version of each file you modified and re-apply the changes using Notepad or another simple text editor. Do not use Dreamweaver or any similar programs as they have been known to cause problems.

i've done what you told me to do twice.
still coming up blank
my board is unhacked
still the: http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php
is this the way my directories suppose to be layed out?
cmps_index.php (later renamed to index.php) << root
forum << directory
all my forums files including the ones that were included in the vbadvanced package and the files i modified << files under directory forum
the cmps_file is:
chdir('./forum');
if this is correct then what?
would you like me to post the 4 php files?

There's no reason the forums would be coming up blank if the files were modified properly. If you'd like you can email me the files and I'll have a look.
