Newbie questions

Ok i've read the manual, and searched the forums, and the answer is probably right in front of me. So i apologize for asking these stupid questions.

How do I add news? (the center part is all blank) only the side modules are displayed.

Since the portal is replacing my /forums/index.php How can I add a link to the top navigation bar for the forums? (the bar that has member list, faq, user cp, etc.)

Okay I figured out the "Forums" link on the navigation but once you enter the site There is still that link, how can I change it to "home" once you're in the forums?

I still haven't figured out the posting news part. Is there supposed to be a link or something there? Because it's just blank when I see look at the index page, but the other boxes are still visable. Am I doing something wrong?

You have to set the forumid that you want to pull your news threads from in your 'News Forum ID' option.
