Hi guys. Been having this problem for awhile now but just lately all my users have been climbing up my back about it:

Essentially, you can log into my site and in the welcome back module, it says there are x amount of new posts. If you click on New Posts, it takes you to 'Sorry No Matches....'. When you then go BACK to the index page, New Posts reads 0 almost like you have been logged in and out then in again during the process!
I ended up having to put a last posts in 24 hours link to satisfy when that occurs. As I mentioned... it is a pain to suss out as it only occurs occasionaly!

Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi A Geek

I think the postbit is messed up here. I can't find your site or any of your past posts to see where your site might be.

Good luck,

Matt

Is it possible that the new posts are made in private forums? The query to count new posts doesn't take private forums into account as it wouldn't be worth the strain on the server.

Nope. I have no private forums. Happened to me again today (normally it will happen to me about 3-5 times per week).
New posts=11
Clicked New posts... none came up.
I went back and New posts said 0.
Clicked on past 24 hours and yup... several new threads I hadnt seen yet ;)

Tough one huh?

Hmmm... Is it possible that you're pulling that page from cache?

What... The search page or the vba page? It shouldnt matter to much. You log in... click New posts and bam. its almost like you get logged out and back in?!?

Some of my users are also having the same problem.
