Deprecated Warning

Hi,

every time i access the first time the Links - i get this PHP Deprecated Information:

Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in \wwwdoc\links\links_global.php on line 44

Please, could you fix this - i haven´t checked the source code - but it is normally a small "&" who makes the warning.

I´ve been using PHP 5.3. but the deprecated Information also affects normally the PHP 5.2 Builds.

I haven't seen any other reports like this, so it sounds more like this may just be a new issue with PHP 5.3. It doesn't look like the reference there is really necessary though, so you should be able to solve the issue by looking in your links_global.php file for this code:
$vba_links =& new vba_links();

And replace with this:
$vba_links = new vba_links();
(just removing the & as you stated)

It isn´t a PHP 5.3 Feature - this is since PHP 5.2.

Correct - by removing the & the "Notice" disappears.

You normally don´t see or hear this, because normally the ErrorReporting of PHP is configured without "NOTICE".

If you turn on NOTICE in Error Reporting - you will see it also on PHP 5.2
