1. how do i take out the avatar when i post news?

2. do i have to get a bigger forum skin to make it bigger?

see i post signature of the week winners on the main site and it almost doesn't fit into the news

1). There is an option to turn off news avatars in the main settings.
2). You don't have to get a bigger forum skin, but if you want the page to stretch out farther then you'll need to change your table width.

Depends on how your style is set up... Should be either your 'adv_portal', 'navbar', or 'header'.
