Just out of curiosity....

How secure is VBadvanced / VBulletin in comparison to say PHP Nuke The reason I ask is becuase I was constantly being hacked with PHPNuke, no matter what type of protection I had on the site, how many security patches I had, and regardless of what version I was running. This is the main reason I am making the swap to VBadvanced / VBulletin.

I believe there are hundreds of posts regarding this subject (vB security) on the official vB boards.
A quick answer is: there is no comparison between vB (or any other serious BB software) and PHP Nuke.

vBa CMPS is basically a front-end to your board. Security concerns are down to a minimum however keep in mind that poorly written modules may present a threat if they deal with sensitive info.

I would say that it is at least 100x more secure, it is at the very least as secure as vBulletin, I know of no security issues with vBa Homepage CMPS links or Gallery at this time, however if one comes to our attention we will do our best to fix it asap.

I have been running a PHPNuke site since February, all patches, AdminSecure and Sentinel add-on security mods, and was hacked repeatedly. I just made the switch to VB/VBA and so far I am VERY happy.
