View Full Version : How do I make the News Archive...

Okay, so maybe I'm missing something here...

When I move the News Archive module to the left column, it resembles the Latest Thread module. When I move the Latest Thread module to the center column, it resembles the (original) News Archive module. Why is this?

I have three columns, and the widest is the left column (on most boards, it's usually the center). So my News Archive is on the left column. However when I move it there, it doesn't look like the original News Archive module anymore; it looks like the Latest Threads module now. Can I move it there and still have the "look" of the original News Archive module on the center column?

By the way, Brian, thanks for VBadvanced CMPS, it's a great hack. The VBA gallery also looks nice (I've been waiting for a long time for a gallery that integrates well with VBulletin), and I'll buy one just as soon as I get my frontpage (and graphics) in order.

The archive looks different because the majority of people will have their left and right columns as the smallest columns, therefore it changes it's look when moved to one of these columns so that it will fit better. There is a conditional in the 'adv_portal_news_archivebits' which can be edited to change this if necessary.

Thanks very much! I'll give it a try.
