View Full Version : PM Pop-Up Notification Problems
Last week upgraded my site to the latest editions of vbulletin and vbadvanced. All went well, aside from one little niggle, which I'm assuming is a vb related issue rather than something to do with vba ... Here is my enquiry and the response at the vb support forum:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?354358-Open-PM-in-current-window&p=1993497#post1993497
The response is painfully complex. Could this be something to do with vba and could the solution be more straightforward?
Thanks for any advice! :)

Do you have the issue with the PM popup on your regular vBulletin pages that are not integrated with the CMPS? If so then it's definitely something related to vB and not the CMPS.
The first thing I would try is adding a new style and then seeing if you have the same issue with it.
Hi Brian,
Thanks for responding.
I can confirm:
1. The problem occurs in all styles (I have several loaded but only one made available to users at present).
2. I just tested the pop-ups away from the home page, and the problem does not occur. That is, the problem only occurs when pop-ups are received while browsing the vba index page. So I guess it is a vba thing ...
Any further thoughts?

I haven't heard of any other issues with pop-ups on the CMPS page, but if you would like to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here I'll be glad to take a look at things for you.

Hi, I am not using version 4.0 but wanted to mention that I'm also having trouble with the PM popups on the CMPS page. The URL to go to the inbox comes up as http://MyForum/private.php instead of http://MyForum/forums/private.php
I can change the URL in the pm_webforumz_popup_script template, but this causes the URL on the non-CMPS pages to display as http://MyForum/forums/forums/private.php
Sorry if I've posted in the wrong area (we've got version 3.2.1 installed), but I thought if a resolution has been found here maybe it can resolve my problem as well.
