latest from one forum

I know this has been asked, and I have searched, I even tried altering latesttopics.php to no avail, all I want is a module called "Latest Tech Articles" that would pull the first 3-5 topics/posts from a specific forum, what do I need to do or what have I missed that is obvious?

Install vb3articles hack and add the corresponding articles module...

thanks for the replies, the one tomshawk posted is what I am looking for, one other question, in the code for latesttopics that I changed to latestwriteups, what could I change to have "Latest Forum Topics" say "Latest Tech Write-ups" ?

I suggested the articles hack because it makes a nice setup for technical articles.

But I did find a nice use for tomshawk's module!!! :D :D
