i suggest :

1.give every user ability to disable some modules or activate some modules that can be prepaired as inactive and the user can activate it if he want in the cmps

2.ability to every user to determine how many threads,news or any to show in the cmps by increase or decrease the number

Push mostly what you have now with vB into the background and interface it with a brand spanking new visual interface of drag and drop ease. Let the coding be mainly auto-generating and remain under the hood, but still allow access to the "raw" code for the geeks in us. I really like vB. I just wish it were a whole lot less complicated...on the surface that is. :)
