i could see it starting "posting contests" in my offtopics forums, but, my members would like it anyway :)... and you just hit the part that was troubling me about this. ;) If you're planning on having this displayed where everybody will see it then you don't necessarily want to take an easy approach of having queries do it real time; something a little less intensive is called for.

This afternoon, after I saw this thread, I was poking around VB.org and came across this.....

Sorry, While I do like that hack of boofo's, it does not do what I want.

I want the top poster or most active poster, Yes, but for today or this week or this month, not total. The total Top Poster is aready there.

The thread starter would be outstanding as well, if I could do that for only a certain few forums, namely, my Article forums. could that be done as well?

I do see that - but I'd like to have JUST 'today's most active poster' because I want to stick it up in the stats box of CMPS - right under newest member, there's that little space just waiting to say "today's most active poster is: xx"

I installed this hack, and "The Most active User Today, did not show up.

I searched that thread and found the most active user portion was from another hack that he was trying to include but never posted in his thread from the looks of it.

I installed this one and got "The most Active user Today" now, but I cant get it in the block on the homepage, so any help would be great.
