Hi-

I am purchasing a license for vBulletin 4.x (whatever the most recent version is) within the next few days. I have been considering the issue of style/look-n-feel during the past couple of weeks. That lead me to viewing something called vBulletin "skins". I've seen so many that they're starting to "look the same", but that's another issue. :-)

Anyway. I'd like to use vBaCMPS and am curious to know if/how a vBulletin skin would be applied and used in the vBaCMPS so that the "home page" (vBaCMPS) and the forum itself (vBulletin) would have an identical appearance in terms of the colors/themes used. Anyone?

Thanks!

Jerry

Most skins will work fine with the CMPS. Your modules may not match the skin exactly if it's more complex and alters vB templates instead of using pure CSS, but most will still look very close if not exactly the same on CMPS pages. You can always edit the CMPS templates too if anything doesn't match up.
Note that after installing any new skins, you will likely need to update the image paths as described in our FAQ:

Thank you Brian. The users of my forum want what I have learned is called a "splash page" and I think that vBaCMPS will meet that request quite nicely. 'Probably end up buying some of the other products as well, though I'll need to get everything setup and working before I look into that. :-)

Thanks again,

Jerry
