Hiya, I've searched the forums and found that there are no solutions to the "Call to a member function check_perms() on a non-object" issue posted and most reports end up with the poster being asked to submit a support ticket, so I've done just that:
I've installed a fresh copy of the links db (v 3.3.0) on to a vB 3.8.7 install. It doesn't work on the live server, but it does work on the local DEV machine.
If I access the links DB whilst logged in I get the "Fatal error: Call to a member function check_perms() on a non-object in /path/to/links/links_global.php on line 67" error. If I access the URL whilst logged out I get a standard vB message page that displays an empty message (presumably an error).
I've tried uninstalling & removing all files, then re-uploading & re-installing but that doesn't help.
The forum path in links_config.php is correct.
Please can you take a look...?
