ArcadeStats for CMPS

Attached is a "multi stats" module for CMPS.

Black Cobra asked if I could create a CMPS module like this IBPro one (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=114440) for v3 Arcade. So I put this one together. I used the look & feel of the IBPro version, but the code is entirely from scratch. It was developed and tested using Arcade 1.0.7, vBulletin 3.6.2, and vbAdvanced 2.2.1. But there's no obvious reason it shouldn't work with other versions. If you have problems, just use this thread for support.

To install, use the Upload / Download Module manager in your vbA CMPS AdminCP, and upload the arcadestats.module file from the ZIP, and place it on any CMPS pages you want it to show on. It's designed to be a "center" module, way to wide to use on a left/right column.

If I get time, I'll add some ACP options to enable and disable the individual tables, and set the number of entries in each table. For now, if you want to chop and change things, just edit the adv_portal_arcadestats template accordingly. This is the "master" template that organizes the individual tables into the main widget.

If you want to change the number of lines lines in any of the tables, edit the ./modules/arcadestats.php file in your forum root. There's a group of "limits" variables at the top, with fairly obvious names.

At the moment, no. It's a CMPS specific module. However, it would be easy enough to build a version which could be put on a "normal" page.

Which page would you want it on? The main Arcade page?

Hmmm ... by Tab I assume you mean grouped with the various game categories. This would have several problems, not least of which would be I'd very probably need to make edits to the main arcade.php, which is something to be avoided at all costs.

I'll look at finding a way of integrating it with the main Arcade page, that only involves template edits.

I suspect I'll end up doing something similar to the existing Arcade Champs mod, which adds a small frame above the main games list, with just the "Top Champ" info in it, linking to a seperate page with the full details.

Hye dude i have installed arcade stats module on v3arcade 1.0.7, vBa 2.2.1, vbulletin v3.6.1......... it has installed correctly but my problem is, the thumbnails of the games r not shown!! earlier it was working on vb 3.6.2........ any suggestion.....?? :confused:

Awesome CMPS module, thanks! It was a little bulky for my tastes, but I edited it down to just the "Most Recent", "Most Played", "Most Popular" and "Top Champs" boxes all in a single row and it looks terrific.

The arcade itself or just this hack? I haven't vBSEO'd my arcade, because I'm not too concerned about the SEO of the arcade itself, but this module seems to be compatable with any thing it links to that is already using mod_rewrite. My "top champs" box links to the correctly rewritten member profile instead of the old style.

I like the idea of this module.

I'd like it a lot more, though (translation: enough to install it) if the Latest Scores box displayed the actual game names as opposed to the database IDs (e.g. "bamagal scored 575500 on Wheel of Fortune" rather than "wheelfortunejs").

A slight fix...

Right now the list of templates are being sepated with a comma but with vBa CMPS 3.x they should be separated by a carriage return instead. The result is that none of the templates are being cached.

To fix... go into ACP => vBa CMPS => Edit Modules => Arcade Stats => Templates Used and change the commas to be carriage returns instead.

and what about the name of game i was change the game name but i see the old name in Latest Scores but i see it correctly what i change in Random Game & Most Recent & Most Played & Most Popular .

The ArcadeStats for CMPS on the middle column are over to the left and show a space to the right.

Edit the templates. I completely rewrote mine. I also commented out the functions I don't use in the php file.

Also the latest scores shows the game file name and not the actual name... Is there a fix for this? I see the front page on this site is now listing the real name, I noticed awhile back it was not...

Only thing I can see is that just now the latest scores is pulling the arcade title from the 'gamename' field in the arcade.sessions table which gives you something like

Gemma scored 4320 on bb4v32IPBGD instead of Gemma Scored 4320 on Blast Billiards 4
