I am currently using Andrew's Links and Files Database and I can say I am pretty happy this (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=60403) modification.
But I also love vBadvanced products and their stability. Can you explain the difference between this 2 produckts .
My main usage will be :
1. Download part ( files on my server )
2. Links that any user can add in certain categories.
You can easily convert vba Links into a download manager.. i think several members have acomplish that already... and well the vba links directory run basically by itself.. all you would need to do is accept/deny downloads...

Never really used the product, so I can't tell you exactly what the differences would be. You should be able to tell from the demo here though. And as Polo said, it should just be a matter of a couple of find/replaces to change all occurances of 'link' to 'file' and 'Link' to 'File' so that it would work more as a download system. Please note though that the files would have to be stored somewhere on the web as there is not an option for the user to upload their own files.
You could also use the gallery as a download sytem!!! how come i never thought about that... however.. you need to do quite some changes...
Both are good in some way
the Andrew product i like the Image and Image Resize that vblinkdirectory dont have it .
