Well,
I have a huge gallery, 230K+ files and growing. By the summer of this year I will have almost double this with some expansion plans.
1st I previously owned photopost and was a dedicated user for almost 2 years. The problems was that as my gallery grew it also got slower.
When I went to VBaGallery Brian dedicated time and effort (on his own) to help me out and now my gallery is almost 15x faster than when we used Photopost. THAT is a true difference.
2nd When I switched over I was not left in the cold to do it on my own. Since my site was so large it needed special needs and the staff here helped me at NO CHARGE! Support here is fast and fabulous with honest answers.
3rd Another issue was the lack of integration with VB. While Photopost offers some limited integration, VBa Gallery is truly part of the system. Utilizing the Moderators Control Panel and the Admin Control Panel instead of a seperate site. No more importing usergroups!
I am extraordinarily happy that I switched to VBaGallery. You should too. PP is a good product but it is trying to make 6 different forum makers happy, here they concentrate on the true professionals choice, VB and only VB.

Eh, thats why we will soon have private er clubs :) :)
Ok guess now's as good a time as any for my testimonial to vBa Gallery.
I have been a Photopost customer for close to 2-3 years now as it was back then, the only viable gallery solution which had forum(s) integration out of the box, which was sorely lacking in many other popular gallery scripts yet widely demanded by members. Despite the rather shakey start ( loads of install problems, but most were fixed eventually by myself, and with slight help from the PP support team ), and multiple versions later as well as massive customization on my part of my PP install ( both visual and code ), I got it to work how I wanted it to. In all honesty, I cannot say I was totally satisfied with it as my solution to a gallery section, but it wasn't like I had choices back then. That said, it serve my needs well then, when it was the only solution available.
Ok, so much for my previous gallery solution's history.
A couple of days back, I purchased my first vBa Gallery licence. I based my decision on the admin demo and front end demo here, feature comparison with what my exisiting solution offered, my past experiences with my gallery script, after looking at how the developers and staff respond to both paying and prospective members of this forum, talking to others who had already purchased it and using it, even getting the chance to play around first hand in the admin section of a live site with the generous offer of a fellow webadmin ( you know who you are ;) ), and finally based on my past experiences with another gallery software. Now I purchase many scripts, many of which isn't even for forum based sites, because of the work I do for people. I know you should never base a purchase on the spur of the moment, or just cos everyone says something's real good, real cool, or someone's the next best thing after Chocolate. I already knew what I want, I know what I need out of the software I was to purchase, and I spent quite a bit of time 'researching' it. So it wasn't that hard before I finally coughed up the dough to get my vBa Gallery licence.
Within 10mins of paying ( Paypal ), I downloaded and installed the script. A problem free install. Then came the tough part of having to migrate from PP to vBa Gallery. The import script isn't perfect, I should say, which hopefully can be worked on in the near future, but after some diddling around with the import script code ( I was a tad impatient and didn't wait for Brian to answer the ticket :D ), I got the import right.
I was amazed at how clean the code is, how completely integrated the whole script is ( not like I didn't expect it though..remember I have done my research ), how easy to customize it and to modify/hack it (yes, close to 6 hrs after paying for this, I am already hacking my vBa Gallery).
I don't have an insane amount of photos (2k odd only), so I don't really see any speed change (speed wasn't really an issue even back when I was on PP). But one thing I see is a fully vBulletin integrated product, and a seemingly well supported one with loads of stuff yet to be.
Sure, it's still in RC, not even a full 1.0 release, but if it's already this good at RC, damn, I can't wait when 1.0 comes out .... or 2.0 .... or 3.0.
So, all in all, from my personal experience and in my personal opinion, and at this juncture in time, if you are looking for a vbulletin board integrated gallery solution for your site and for your members, look no further than vBa Gallery.
Let's hope Brian and team continues to wow us with this solid product, and not fail our expectations and hopes :)
Good job vBa Team and I'm proud to say I own vBa Gallery.

great product... we've been a PhotoPost user for over 2 years now and was running great... but was missing the overall integration from vb which was our foundation.
our db includes over 11,000+ photos and over 170,000+ comments, etc... and the import went pretty good!
though our members have been remorseful about certain features that seem to be left out from the popular photopost such as; ability to search last photos from 1 day, 3, days, 7 days, etc. and in Member Album Category the 'alphabet' is missing to search for members straight from letter of alphabet ... these are small (but needed) things that are missing compared to the awesome features that this RC version has... i cant wait myself for new next version...
excellent product!!! A++++++++++++
