Hello,
I have encountered several sites that have cmps loaded as their homepage. However, all of their "blocks/modules" are rounded opposed to blocks. I am uncertain as to how they pulled this off. I know how to do it for the forums, but not with cmps. Any ideas?

Hi iguanairs

You just need to edit to appropriate templates in the CMPS section that you want to see the style 'rounded' effects on.

I see you only have one style on the site in your sig... is it this site on which you would want the CMPS customised?

Hello,
Thanks for responding. I am in the process of creating a style. I know how to add it to custom blocks that I have created. That isn't an issue. The problem I am having is in knowing which templates to edit for the blocks created by cmps.

The site you looked at was my first site. I have 2 vb licenses and am in the process of getting a 3rd. So to show the affiliation between the sites, but still allowing them to be independant entities, I am creating a style that I will be using on all 3 sites. (Different colors for each site according to the sites purpose though.)

I am using my test site as the means in which to test all of this. I have played with the coding, and getting a round effect on custom blocks is fairly simple. It was just a matter of editting the "tcat" to do what I want it to.

I will play with this some more, but would appreciate it if someone could guide me as to which of the vbadvanced CMPS templates I should be editing. An example is the latest topics. Do I edit the latesttopicsbits or the latesttopics template? (or both) Do I need to remove any code because these templates already call for the "gradient tcat.gif". How do I make them NOT call that, so my coding is all that is used?

Thank you for your time. I am still an amateur with coding, but my knowledge and abilities have vastly increased since i started using VB and cmps. This is yet another learning experience.

Currently there are several that will need to be modified (though this will be changed in 2.0). The easiest way would be to just look through the CMPS templates and change the ones that start off with the same table code.
