hey all!
Before I installed vBadvanced, I had a css code...
border-right: 8px solid #0099CC;
...put in the .page (background page) as Extra CSS Attributes.
My problem:
In my www.mysite.com/index I see that vBadvanced grabs that CSS code from the .page and adds it to the portal!
How do I get rid of it or how do I bypass this ?
Thanks in (vB)advanced guys ;)

Do you use a single style on your site? If so you could create a duplicate the way you want it just for the portal page and assign it just to that page in the CMPS ACP. You can, in fact, do this even if you use multiple styles.

hey Tom! I like your creative thoughts! smart thinking! I just got stuck on the problem that I DO want the code to get showed on the .page of the index and that it doesnt get showed on the portal on the same index...
...any ideas ?

If I do it the way you said than line 2 will disapear on the first image... for some reason the portal index grabs the .page including it's CSS atribb...
(sorry for the 90 degree, but couldn't upload it the other way...)

btw ..sorry for my lack of 'explaining my problem' - skills ..
...isn't there a file for the portalindex where the class is set to .page (and therefor automatically grabs the extra css atribb.)?? if so, than I can just simple change the class or remove it right ?

...isn't there a file for the portalindex where the class is set to .page (and therefor automatically grabs the extra css atribb.)?? if so, than I can just simple change the class or remove it right ?Each style can have its own CSS and the main page can use a different style than the rest of the vb pages. That's why I suggested creating a style and just tweaking it for how you want the main page to be. OTOH - if you want all the pages to look the same then simply modify the one style and its CSS.
ACP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> (your style) -> Main CSS

yep ...I allready did what you said and again that was some smart thinking althought there was created another problem doing that... if I remove the code in the new style I created for the main page than the lines will not show at all... (so line 1 disapears along with line 2 ...and I want to keep line 2)...
so that will not work...I need to figure a way to work with that class method orso because there must me somewhere programmed that he will grab the css code from .page (whether it's a old style or a new style) ...will go figure...will let you hear if I found something :p thanks again Tom

hey TOM!!
guess what... I woke up this morning and I had a idea...
I just went straight to the 'vBadvanced CMPS Templates' , clicked on 'adv_portal' and I removed the class="page" - code and added the css code again in the .page extra attrib. and NOW it works like a sharm!!
I can't believe I wasn't able to succeed in that last night...(I guess I had to sleep over it :p )
but anyhow thanks for your help! much aprieciated!
