News portal bug?

I have a problem with my center column jumping over to the right colomn.
Every time I write in the news portal I get the column to expand and go into the right side column and it drops or lowers the right column underneath the center column. take a look:

I have since taken the [kuotes] off, and it works now!
If I were to include quotes in my news portal where would I find a fix for this?

I know there's a hack for this. If you search the hacks forum for 'quotes' and maybe 'limit' then you should be able to find it.
