But I notice that a huge chunk of the topics here can all have been answered if the installer had just looked in their admincp and looked at the options in the vba cmps and turned them on/off or whatever.
Doesn't that get kind of irritating? It's like, come on people, at least TRY to look for the answer yourselves.
Then there's those that really do get stuck and really do need help, and the thing is they don't know how to use the SEARCH feature on the forum to find their help, because if one person has a problem or has gotten stuck - chances are someone else did before you, and it's already been answered.
Use your eyes and look.
Maybe this is more of a rant and it's in the wrong section, I dunno. That's up to those that run this place to decide. Sorry if my own post pissed anyone off, I just thought I'd vent a little bit. :P

Seangworld, everybody has different levels of experience working with vBulletin and these support forums are here for everybody regardless of what that level is.

well this is true, and i hardly think im even close to being labelled as a vet or anything like that, but as a newbie still, but im just saying people can find answers easily if they just look before they post yet another thread of the same thing. know what i mean? anyway...
and mh, you had me for a second there...i was about to be upset that i pissed someone here off until i saw your smiley...hehe...

If somebody is brand new to vBulletin and/or being online then they may not be familiar with the different ways of searching the forums. Customer Service means taking care of all of the customers, not just the more experienced ones.

I'll just say ditto on what Kevin has said as I couldn't have worded it any better. :p
In a perfect world everyone would thoroughly explore the program and it's options, and know that searching the forums for their problem will result in a much quicker solution for them. Then again, in a perfect world those people wouldn't have a problem with the program in the first place. :p

lmao@brian. true.
maybe i just learned the hard way it's much quicker to just look for the answer than to sit and wait for weeks on end for the answer, if you even get one.
i love portal software, btw. thanks.
