Sry for my complete Nooobness but how the hell do i get news items to display.

So basically what you are needing is the ability to have another news module in addition to the default one, right? If you search the hacks forum here I know somebody has posted instructions on how to do this.

Ok, under CMPS Default Settings / News Options/ you will see "news forum ID" list your forum ID numbers there. Then on the portal page all the new posts in those forums will be displayed in the center of the page

Ok Thats cool but how do u get it to show large news items like on the font page of this site all i have is

Ps dont worry about the amount of news archives

By placing a fourmID in that space, the "news" will show up. You can then change the amount of charactors that will display.

Mine isn't working either. I entered the ID number and activated it (news.php??) and it isn't showing up.

Is it active on your 'Default / Homepage' and are you sure that the forumid(s) you entered is correct?

.... also make sure that you don't have a comma after the last number! I've seen a few people put commas after every forumid like "1,2,3," which the query does not like.
