Hi Guys!

I just installed the vBadvanced CMPS and I am having some very noticable problems. After installing the CMPS and going thru the intallation process I think everything went okay. But here is my problem..

Take a look at the forum with the skin I have installed.

http://www.myreason.net/forums/index.php

Everything looks fine there right?

now take a look at the CMPS that I have installed..
http://www.myreason.net/index.php

As you can see it looks a little different. The background is not showing and also some some of the colors are left out in the CMPS. Did do something wrong in the installation process? The skin I installed is for the lastest version of vbulletin as well. Can someone please help me and tell me what might be wrong and what can I do to fix this problem?

I also noticed that the middle block(s) isn't showing. Is this due to the fact that there my be something wrong since the skin is not fully working for the CMPS?

Style... look like your image paths need to be updated yet. Usually the 1.0.1 fixes it but sometimes it may miss a few paths. Just make your images paths fully qualified and that should do it.

Middle column... ACP => vBa CMPS => Default Options => News Forum ID

thanks KW802 for all your help. and please forgive me if i'm a little slow at this. But how exactly do I check to make sure the paths to the images are correct? were can I find that?

I haven't seen the Cobalt style yet (I'm familiar with some of the older EP styles but not the newer ones) but usually if you just go into your style manager that'll take care of it.

Try ACP => Styles & Templates => Style Manager => {select your style} All Style Options => Image Paths and then update the entries so that they are full qualified. By that I mean if the entry currently looks like "cobalt/misc" then update it to be either "/forums/cobalt/misc" or http://www.myreason.net/forums/cobalt/misc.

i found where you were talking about. but all the fields seem to have a direct url.

example..there saying

http://www.myreason.net/forums/cobalt/buttons
http://www.myreason.net/forums/cobalt/edit
http://www.myreason.net/forums/cobalt/misc
ect..

is this how it sould be or do I need to just change it to /forums/cobalt/*

well..new update..

i tried changing them to
forums/cobalt/misc
forums/cobalt/edit
ect..

but that still didn't work..

And it seems to only have this problem on the CMPS. The actual forum itself is fine...

Nope, they're right then. From looking at the source it looks like you need to update a few other places. While on that page start from the top and go downward. Look for where it says "url(cobalt/" and change it to "url($vboptions[bburl]/cobalt/".

and I have check and rechecked and made all those changes but still not working. anything else I might need to do?

Forgive me.... it's late and I may have given the wrong answer above. Instead of "url($vboptions[bburl]/cobalt/" do the "url(http://www.myreason.net/forums/cobalt/" method instead. http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif

P.S. just 1 final question. In the CMPS how do I get the links at the top to work. They dont seem to point directly at the correct address.

No problem. Sorry for the bum first answer. :)

For the links, go into ACP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings then copy the values in the "Navbar replacements" section to the "Header Replacements" section.

PS: You missed the calendar template updates. ;)

thanks a million..

The calender template updates..weren't they done when installing the CMPS? or are you speaking of something else?

thanks a million..

The calender template updates..weren't they done when installing the CMPS? or are you speaking of something else? The automated installer won't touch any of the pre-existing templates. You'll need to do the calendar template changes manually.
