Very frustrated inside please!!!

I have been battling with this error >>> http://www.goaguild.com/ <<< see website " for the past 4 days now. I have un-installed re-installed around 6 or 7 times now. This board is a fresh install of 3.07 no other modifications have been made. Everything works completely fine until i attempt to install 1.01 CMPS. After i modify all the files,templates,upload etc... i get this stupid error every time :mad: I can't even make it to the vbcmps_install.php file because of this error message. Nobody seems to have an answer for me so im hopeful someone here can help me....

I'm not sure what else to check or whatelse could possibly be wrong. I've never had a problem with vb 3.03 and cmps that has worked fine in the past. But i am having a hell of a time with this one...

You made a mistake while editing functions.php, it seems. Start with a clean copy of it and try again.

i've tried it 7 times with a fresh functions.php file and i still get the same error :(

And use Notepad to make the changes instead of Dreamweaver as DW has been known to cause probelms.

Damn, thanks a lot Brian it was a dreamweaver issue with the functions.php file. I redid it within notepad and BAM works perfect...

I now know never to use Dreamweaver for making modifications...

I now know never to use Dreamweaver for making modifications...I'm not a DW user myself (still use a plain text editor) but from what I understand the newest versions of DW supposedly got rid of the problem of changing files on the fly like that.
