View Full Version : Page titles all same in VBA scripts with sidebar mod

I have successfully used the Sidebar Mod (http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewusermanual&productid=4&pageid=6) but find that page titles on all VBA scripts (Links, CMPS) all use the page title of the page I created for the mod. In my case all page titles now read "My Site - include"

I've seen this question asked in another message but have found no cure. Ideas?

What did you name the page? include? Name it something else

I did name the page "include", is there some reason why this word causes the trouble? If I named it george then wouldn't all page titles just read "My Site - George"? I actually used the word include just because it was used in the CMPS users manual describing how to install this mod.

I'd rather not change the page name unless I'm certain it will fix the problem since it involves reopening and modifying many files.

I am 99% sure that is the reason. If you edit the page and rename it that should solve your problem.

I gave it a try and changed all the page to "column". My page titles now read "My Site - column". Thanks for the tip but it seems the cause lies elsewhere.

EDIT :: I just discovered that it is not the Page Identifier, it is the Page Title in CMPS Edit Page which is controlling this. Change the page title of the custom page and change the page title of all pages with the sidebar column mod. I included screenshots to better illustrate what I am refering to.

That is what I said. Change the page name. ;)

Normally the page name should be variable where as it is now the same for these pages. I did change it to something more suitable but would like it to vary from links, to home, to forums, etc. Currently (for example) the field - Links Directory Title in AdminCP has no effect.

I just took a look at your links directory, but I'm not seeing the problem... The title is showing as "Japan-101 - Links Directory".

It is a new site Brian. (Edited by DougM: See ticket for URL)

I can't seem to reproduce the problem... Have you made any changes to the 'adv_portal' template? If not, please submit a support ticket and I'll be glad to take a look.
