I am having an issue with cmps_index.php, none of the graphics will show up for unregistered users in IE. This issue is only with IE, Firefox works fine, except for one folder, images/icons, those icons will not appear on on my cmps_index.php page either.
I have checked all my image paths, and they all look fine. Even if a path was wrong, I don't see why that would only effect IE and not Firefox anyway.
I posted this issue the other day at vbulletin.org, but no response yet. I'm hoping one of the dev's here might know whats going on.
**Ok, the graphics don't always display for registered users either, it just looks like once I go to the forum index page and the graphics load, then go back tothe home page they just display because they are in the cache or something.
Still no matter what, images in the images/icons folder do not display in either browser on the homepage.

Did you update the image paths in every style as per the instructions? I have to place /forum/ in front of the path for the portal to show the images.

yep, I did ... all that is right ... but even if it was wrong I don't think it would cause a browser specific error.

It shouldn't be. This is odd...

The reason they don't appear as broken in FireFox is because it does not display a red x or any other type of indication that there is an image missing.
Try uploading the install file, go to it in your browser, and select the option there to upldate your image paths.

Thats the thing, the images that display as broken in IE appear just fine in Firefox. In IE none of the buttons in my navbar template show (but they are showing in firefox), which are all .gifs ... but the jpg in the same folder does appear (weird).
I'll try running the update image paths again to see if that fixes it though.
***the images in my vba gallery mod don't display in IE either ... again, this is only a problem in IE.
***also the images in my random gallery mod do not dispaly for registered users , except the administrator in Firefox. I'm think this could be a permissions issue, or maybe an issue with my .htaccess files, but I am not sure why it cause different errors in different browsers.

Ok best I can tell, this is a permissions issue somewhere in vB. Users in tha admin group can see all of the images on the cmps_index page, users in the the registered user's group can see all of the images, with the exception the thumbnails in the random gallery mod, and unregistered users can't see any images at all.
These issues are specific to IE, execpt for the problem in the random gallery mod. That issue is in IE and firefox. I have been looking at permission settings in vB, searching for a possible cause. I don't see anything ... any one have an idea?

LOL ... I narrowed the problem down a bit more .. it seems that my vba will just dispaly .gifs to nonregistered users ... still no takers?

Looks more like you may have some kind of problem with IE or your settings. I just checked your site and IE isn't showing any broken images on your style or in your gallery.

Your site seems to be down at the moment, so I can't go back to specifically check the gallery mod.

Edit:
Nevermind.. the images pathes managed to magically arrange themselves. I didn't do it, thanks Santa!! Probably a slow update from my server, only thing I can think of.
