Having problem after install

Ok I understood everything fine until I got to where I have to edit the vBadvanced CMPS file with your forum directory and upload it. I uploaded the info.php file, but it never showed the _server path it was supposed to.

So for 1 I have no idea what to put in that file, I ended up just trying different things, and it gave me this error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home2/john1744/public_html/cmpsc_index.php on line 27

I renamed the file cmpsc on accident. So I have no idea what to change the path to, and I have no idea where to actually upload the cmpsc_index file to.

Do I upload it to my host root? Or my forum root?

I renamed mine index.php and placed it in the root of my server.

I get that when I try to access myforum/index.php (I renamed the file)
