View Full Version : Okay, maybe not a problem, but . . .

I have a new board setup on vB and just saw this. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at. Maybe that's good, maybe not. This is a mod for vB, that much I get. But I see all over vb.org requests for vBa versions of things. Does that mean that whatever hacks I have installed will no longer work? Or is that simply a request to have a "module" created that will show up on the front page? I love the look of it, and am highly interested in it (I am dreading creating an intro page for my site) so I hope my beliefs are correct. If I install this, it creates a new front page with whatever modules I decide to put in, on that page I have a forums link that goes to what is right now the main page of my forums. Is that correct? If so I'm off to install right away.
Thanks for reading my drivel, I appreciate any help.

(Off-Topic: You gotta have a forum for Relationships. Cause the phrase "Damn That Sucks" applies a LOT with that subject.)

Okay, I installed this thing. Only one issue so far.
The path in cmps_index.php seems easy to format for nix boxes, how about windowz? I've tried several variations, but no go so far.
Thanks
PS - There is a new forum request forum! But I like the idea.
EDIT: forumpath.php output is c:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\forums\ which creates a parse error on line 32. This is the line for global.php and I'm not sure how to modify it for windowz.

Got it:
chdir('c:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\forums\\');
forumpath.php didn't include the last \ so it caused problems.

The CMPS will not affect any other hacks you have installed, so the threads you're seeing are most likely requests for CMPS modules.
