Top Search Engine Ranks

Before buying vbaGallery, our organisation was a bit concerned that it might impact on our search engine ranks when moving from Coppermine and setting up a new gallery folder on our server.

About one month later, surfers can now type 'gallery' in to the www.msn.co.uk searchbar and we're third place from more than 628 million results :eek:

StuartDH, congrats! With such a generic term as "Gallery" coming up within the first few pages would be a great result let alone the 3rd spot! :cool:

Does your site cater to professional photographers or amatuers... there are some great shots in your gallery.

The site is populated predominanatly with amateur shots of UK wildlife and apart from sending out a few requests for links (about 50+), we haven't really done anything else on the SEO setup.

We've had some great results with more very directed search terms, but we were quite amazed to see a one-word search term like 'gallery' getting us on the front page.

Apparently, we've been 3rd place for the past week, so it'll be interesting to see just how long we stay there.
