Latest Discussion Block causes massive load increase

I have vba 1.0.1 installed on an upgraded forum running the latest version of vB. When the latest discussion model is turned on, it causes a lot of locked calls to the database and eventually causes the server that is running the database to crash from load issues. I've even tried some older versions of vBa before it was a CMPS, and it does the same thing. I've check the DB out and it is in fine condition. vba CMPS works fine if this module is not turned on.
Any ideas?

Nope the latest discussion module. (sorry for the previous misspelling, it's been a long day). The module that shows the last 10 threads.

Haven't really heard of anyone having problems with the latest threads module before. If you'd like to submit a support ticket though I'll be glad to take a look and see what the problem is.
