Load template on index

Hi,

I´d like to load a page on main page, between the modules from the right and left sides.

I want to disply some fixed information, like the history of a car Club, etc.

How can I do it? I search on forum, but couldn´t find anything specefic.
I have a file call about.php and about.tpl with the information, but I could creat a html standard page if it´s necessary.
