How do I add news onto the vba page? its jsut blank now, and I cant see anywhere to add it.
Also When every I go to the vba page it asks me to log in, and when I do it takes me right to the forum, and the next time I go to the vba page i need to log in again, it doesnt cache it or something, seemingly because it goes right to the forums instead of staying on the page.
Also I treid the user manual
http://www.vbadvanced.com/membersarea.php?do=viewmanual&productid=4
but its a blank page, so no use.

Admin CP => vBa CMPS => Default Settings => News Forum ID
You have to set that option before anything will show up in the news section.

so I need to make a new forum that no one can see or something? or do I just mark threads to be news after its made?
edit, and is there a url to the manual that works?

Just use the forum ID's of the ones you want to have displayed on the front page.

ok I must seriously have hit my head or something.
I put "1" in that field, but I still have nothing in the middle cell.
I want to have it so any of the mods can add a "news" thing to it.
in your admincp create a new forum named announcements ( fig1 ) note the forum ID.
now go to cmps default settings and add the ID ( fig 2 ) .. make a post in the newly created forum and it will now show in the middle column of your cmps front page.

Thanks :)
One last questions
Some images dont show up, wrong path, even though all the paths I can see when I do the install thing are correct.
Like this one
http://site.com/images/buttons/reply_small.gif
it should be
http://site.com/forum/images/buttons/reply_small.gif
and the clear.gif isnt even close, its where my old forum was, but i changed servers a while ago and changed the file format.
http://forum.site.com/clear.gif
it should be
http://site.com/forum/clear.gif
ok not last,
I forgot, on the vba page you can log in... but every time you hit that page it wants you to log in, but if you click into hte forum you are already logged in. jsut not on the vba page???
Place "$vboptions[bburl]/" ( without quotes ) in front of all image paths that don't show and that should solve the problem.

Admin CP => Style Manager => {select style} => All Style Options
On that page you will see a list of image paths. Make sure each of those is set to the full URL to those folders.

The URL is not correct then as you would not be having any issues if it was.

Everything under "Image Paths" in Admin CP => Style Manager => {select style} => All Style Options has the full url in it, all 9 of them.
