Hi Brian and Zachery,

Just downloaded vBAdvanced and have been playing with it for past hour. Very spiff product.

Here's what I'd like to do.

Main default page:

Left: News

Got this working.

Center: 1 static big graphic

I would use "Custom Content" for this right?

So I would create a template whose sole purpose in life is to reference foo.jpg ?

Right: Last 5 member-uploaded pictures

Can I use vB Adv Gallery for this?

If yes, this is my guess for how I'd set it up within the CMPS:

1) Add Module for vB Gallery

and figure out what to fill in for all the options under Add Module

2) Edit Pages for Default / HomePage

check the "vB Gallery" box that should now appear under "Right Column"

and figure out how to limit the # of pictures appearing along right column to 7 or so

Did I guess correctly ? Tell me tell me :)

Stachel

(who picked this as a portal because the Zachery person has always been very helpful and has a cool attitude and I saw he was here)

That depends... If you're planning on using this on more than one page it may be best to create a module to reference the image. If it's only going to appear on one page then just create the template and add the name of that template to the 'Page template' option when adding/editing the page.

Sounds like you've got it. :)

Sounds like you've got it. :)Really? No way! (that was a guess after using your software, so if that's correct then you're software has a fast learning curve)

In order to figure out what to fill in for all the options under Add Module, when adding vB Adv. Gallery as a module, that is spelled out somewhere in the Gallery forum, right?

Thanks Brian,

Stachel

Yup, there should be a list of what needs to be set for each option.
