Im looking to have the same header you have here.
When your at the portal page, it shows "Forums" as the first link.
When you on the forums index., it says "Home" and goes back to portal.
any tips for a noob?

This has been asked and answered probably 500 times. The search feature is your friend. It is the navbar, not a header.

A few things, I took out my nav bar on my portal page..so its actually the HEADER.
Im new so explaining these things is a bit rough around the edges. I tried a search but didnt use "navbar" b/c thats not what I want to edit.
I want to edit the actual header links.
to see what i mean.

Glad to to point you in the right direction. Since you added the skin, it placed the navbar elements in your header.. ;)
