Im confused. Ive seen so many portals lately, sorry. Which is better, vbadvanced homepage, or vbadvanced cmps? Whats the difference? Which should I use on 3.0.7 and why?

The CMPS. vBa Homepage is basically a very old and depreciated version of the CMPS.

Yes, vBadvanced is the best portal software i've used for 3.0.x so far, tried a couple other ones and had all kinds of problems from them, but this one was by far the smoothest and easiest integreation of them all.

so what are the differences between 1.0 and 2.0?

Also, can you use 1.0 modules and such with 2.0?
