I followed the instructions for upgrade... used notepad to edit. now the page is giving me a

Warning: main(./includes/vba_cmps_include_template.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/forums/global.php on line 17

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './includes/vba_cmps_include_template.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/forums/global.php on line 17

Help????? If nothing else I need to put it back the way it was but when i tried it provided too many spaces!!!

You could just extract the global.php file from your vbulletin .zip file and overwrite the one you edited.

That error is indicating that it can't find the vba_cmps_include_template.php file. Are you sure you uploaded it to the correct directory?

I don't have the vb.zip file. I was not the one who originally set all this up. As u can tell I am new and regretting touching anything at this point.

I went to the global.php file. :( damn how do I get this back?

What I was doing was copying the code straight from the installation files for vbadvanced 2. but for some reason it is adding too many spaces... what other program should I use to edit the php files?

You will need to restore the original global.php file from your vBulletin zip, if you do not have it you can login to the members area on vBulletin.com
