maybe you don't have the module active?

I know it sounds silly, but make sure you choose a forum in the list as your news forum.

or the posts you want as news, this happened to me. CMPS V 2.0 now has it so you can select news in your module options.

Try rerunning the setup, and choose to install only the templates.

Hmm, if you had them do it, you might submit a trouble ticket then, and they can take a look at it. But if you want to do it, it's pretty easy, just copy the vbacmps_install.php file into the admincp folder, and access that file through your browser at http://yoursite.com/forums/admincp/vbacmps_install.php, and it will give you the option to install templates only.

Same issues and I reran templates and phrases..no luck..
I have two forums..the first one upgraded fine with no errors...the second one will not show the news nor news archive no matter what is selected..trust me, I've tried just about all I can think of..

Use your FTP proggie then upload the install file back to admincp then type your url/forums/admincp/vbacmps_install.php? or the way u did it the first installation then do what was said about the templates.
This part could be like this as well url/forum/admincp/vbacmps_install.php?

Where do you set the options for the News Archive anyway? When I edit that module, I don't get any "custom" options for it. Just the standard options and permissions options.

I have the same problem.
I reinstalled the templates and have it set to a certian thread.
could it be because I havent upgraded my vB yet?

Ok Brian helped me out and the reason is I didn't have enough threads in my forum for my archives to show. Maybe that might be your problem too.
