When I edit it around, I get php errors. How can I prevent this from happening. I just want to make it look more like a blog instead of something so generic made.

Any help/tips would be cool.

The only way you would get PHP errors is if you modify an <if condition> incorrectly. Just be sure that you're not removing any of the opening or closing <if> tags.
